The light
The base lights the resin from underneath. Sixteen colours and brightness control, on a small remote, included with every size.
The blue-violet in most of the photographs is one of the presets. Warm white makes the same piece read completely differently, which is worth trying before you settle on one.
Care
A dry microfibre cloth is all it needs. Resin scratches like acrylic, so no abrasives and no solvents.
Keep it out of direct sunlight. Prolonged UV will yellow any epoxy over a long enough time.

If it arrives cracked or chipped, send a photo within 30 days and a replacement goes out. You don't need to ship the broken one back — returning it would cost more than the lamp.

With the lights off
It doesn't start until the room goes dark.
Lights on, it's an object. A wedge of dark resin on a walnut base, the kind of thing that reads as a piece of art on a shelf and gets picked up by people who visit.
Then the room goes off. The base lights it from underneath and the resin stops being a surface. It becomes depth — a nebula sitting in the middle of a desk, with two small figures drifting through it.
Every video of one of these is shot in the dark. This is why.
Poured, not printed
The nebula is inside the resin, not on it.
The cheap version of this is a printed film sandwiched in acrylic, or a plastic shell with an LED behind it. You can always tell, because every single unit is identical.
This one is poured. Pigment is worked into wet epoxy in layers, so the cloud structure sits at different depths and shifts as you move around it. The astronauts and the shuttle are set into the pour and suspended there, not stuck to a back panel.
It also means no two come out the same. The nebula in yours will not be the nebula in these photographs. That isn't a disclaimer — it's most of the reason the thing is worth owning.

Each lamp ships from the workshop that pours it. Eight to fifteen days to a US address, free, tracked from the moment it leaves.
It's resin over solid wood, so it's heavier and more breakable than it looks in a video. Occasionally one still arrives cracked. If yours does, send a photo within 30 days and a replacement goes out. Don't ship the broken one back — the freight would cost more than the lamp.
Buying it for December? Order by the last week of November. We'd rather tell you that now than take the order and hope.

How long does delivery take?

Will mine look like the photographs?
Close, but not identical. Each one is hand-poured, so the cloud structure and the wood grain come out differently every time. The scene, the figures and the colours are the same.
Does it need batteries?
No. It runs off USB — a phone charger, a laptop port, a power bank. There's no lithium cell in it and nothing to replace.
What are the light colours?
